The Five Biological Laws

The five principles that make up the whole of German New Medicine, covering the conflict shock, the two-phase pattern, germ layers, the role of microbes, and biological purpose.

This is an educational explanation of a German New Medicine concept, not medical advice or a substitute for professional care.

The Five Biological Laws are the whole of German New Medicine — everything else in the framework is an application of them. GNM presents them not as philosophy but as proposed observable patterns connecting emotional experience to physical response through the brain.

The First Law, the Iron Rule: every biological program begins with an unexpected conflict shock (a DHS) that strikes psyche, brain relay, and organ at the same instant, with the nature of the conflict determining which relay and organ respond.

The Second Law, the two-phase pattern: every program runs a conflict-active phase and then, if the conflict resolves, a healing phase.

The Third Law, the Ontogenetic System: every tissue belongs to one of three embryonic germ layers, and that origin determines which brain region controls it, what the tissue does during conflict activity, and which conflict themes apply.

The Fourth Law, on microbes: GNM proposes that bacteria, fungi, and mycobacteria act as healing-phase repair crews directed by the brain rather than as the cause of disease, becoming active only once healing begins.

The Fifth Law, the "Quintessence": every so-called disease is a Significant Biological Special Program with an evolutionary survival purpose.

The laws are meant to be read together. A single symptom, run through all five, is supposed to produce one coherent account rather than five separate ones.

These are Dr. Hamer's clinical observations, not conclusions established through large-scale peer-reviewed research. They are best held as an educational lens for reflection alongside professional medical care.
